Programmes:
The four-year Bachelor of Arts Degree at UNB Saint John offers a broad-based education in a variety of Programmes. Students may choose from a full range of traditional academic disciplines, including Economics, English, French, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology. UNB Saint John also offers unique, Interdisciplinary Programmes in Information and Communication Studies, International Studies, and Sport and Exercise Psychology. Minor Programmes are also available in Cognitive Neuroscience, Comparative Literature, Criminal Justice Studies, Gender Studies, International Development Studies, Linguistics, and Psychosocial Dimensions of Sport. Students can also pursue studies in Biology, Math, and Statistics as part of a Bachelor of Arts Degree. A joint Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education Degree in early/primary years is also available to students.

In whatever Programme you choose, you will study a variety of subjects and learn about ideas and beliefs that have guided human beings and shaped civilizations for thousands of years. You will engage in research, writing, and the communication of ideas in a variety of ways. Ultimately, your Bachelor of Arts degree should provide an invaluable set of employability skills, including abilities in research and analysis, critical and creative thinking, computer and information literacy, and the capacity for lifelong learning. It can also provide a useful pathway to professional and leadership positions in a variety of contexts. This is why so many Teachers, Lawyers, Physicians, Bank Managers, Librarians, and those in careers in the Creative Arts, Civil Service, Administration, and Media often complete a Bachelor of Arts degree before obtaining more specialized professional accreditation.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Faculty of Arts at UNB Saint John.

Best Wishes,
