Betsy Thoughtful

yaye novel! Now there is no debate that this is a novel:) I thought it was ok, but a little long. I felt though that it was very well written. The form of the BuldingsRoman being adopted for a female protagonist is also very different. It is usually only male protagonists that get to take the journey from innocence into expereince. The novel is also interesting because it addresses the problem of 'uneducation' that women recieve, and are bred to think is 'natural'.

Good point about the masculine aspects of the bildungsroman.
