The mandate of the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies is to:

  1. Synthesize and disseminate bodies of knowledge in the criminal justice area that meet the very real policy and practical needs of public and community-based organizations that address antisocial behaviour;
  2. Provide consultation and training to criminal justice professionals and community groups in areas pertinent to their everyday concerns (e.g., parole, probation, prisons, policing, victim services, legislative and legal reform etc.); and
  3. Generate new information on topics that have practical, as well as scholarly, significance.
