Instructional Technology @ UNBSJ

Welcome to Instructional Technology in Saint John

Instructional Technology at UNBSJ is a part of Information Services and Systems.  We are here to encourage, train, advise and assist faculty in the use of instructional technology on the UNBSJ campus. The Instructional Technology staff can help you with:

Videoconferencing

The MacMurray Room - Oland Hall 203 - has been specifically designed for videoconferencing. The main flow of traffic is for courses between the Saint John campus and the Fredericton campus. This room can also be booked for a meeting or a thesis defence. Click here for booking instructions.

Smart Classrooms
An increasing number of our classrooms have digital projectors that are connected to both a VCR and a computer with a DVD drive. These enable you to enhance your lectures by using PowerPoint Presentations or by using DVD or video clips during your lesson. Click here for a list of Smart Classrooms.

Blackboard Learning Management System

UNB adopted Blackboard CE6 as a Learning Management System in the spring of 2007.  It is an online software application designed to enhance teaching and learning.  Instructors can create powerful learning content using a variety of Web-based tools and facilitate student participation, communication, and collaboration.  To learn more about this LMS, please contact Mary Astorino at 506-648-5954 or email astorino@unbsj.ca.
