December 2007 Archives

December 7, 2007

You wouldn't like it if it happened to you. . .

Imagine this, you’re writing a finance exam at 2 pm today. It’s now 11 am and you’re settled at a desk in the very back corner of the library. You were, of course, up to 3 am studying. You would have studied for finance earlier but you just wrote an economics exam yesterday morning at 9. (Oh and did I mention that you need a 67% on this exam to pull a 50% out of the hat?)

Now, you’ve been churning through the chapters (and the coffee) not so bad UNTIL. . . 2 people sit down at the desks across from you and they’ve just finished writing a 9 am stats exam and they’re ecstatic (no pun intended) because they think they aced it. So, they’re re-living the exam question by question with their excited little voices, right beside you. Along comes a friend (or two) to join in. . . then one of their cell phones rings, a wonderful Christmas Carol ringtone.
You give them a nasty glare . . . they return it and LAUGH (what’s your problem anyway?).

PLEASE remember that it’s exam time in the library. . . Keep your voices down, turn your phones to vibrate and watch for the signs that designate “Silent” and “Quiet Talk” Areas and behave accordingly. Thank You.
