We’ve had a few students wondering where all the books have “gone” on the second floor of the library. While we do conduct weeding projects during the summer, to keep our collection current, be assured that we did not dispose of several shelves worth of material. The empty shelves are the result of some new shelving we purchased this summer. The new shelves were placed in the middle of the collection and that means every book needs to be moved section by section as we slowly spread them out on the new shelves; giving them some much needed breathing space. We have students quietly shifting material, and we hope to have all the books spread out on their new shelves by the end of term.
