The Math & Science Help Centre is a free service provided to strengthen math and science skills for students who are experiencing difficulty with first year mathematics, statistics, and science courses. Some upper level business math courses are included as well.
Students can book appointments for individual tutoring by signing the sheet posted outside the Centre. Whenever the tutor is not occupied with a booked appointment, students can drop-in for tutoring. If students are unable to make an appointment they should cancel either by crossing out their name or by notifying the centre.
Failure to notify the Centre of the inability to keep an appointment is considered a No-Show. Any student who fails to show up for two sessions could lose the privilege of using the Math & Science Help Centre.
In addition to the individual tutoring service, the Centre offers REVIEW sessions related to high school material at the beginning of each term. Special sessions could be offered on a particular topic at the request of course instructor(s). Also, REVIEW sessions prior to final examinations were conducted last term for some courses.
Weekly hours of operation vary depending on demand. Check with the Centre for the current schedule.
