Program Information Students entering the first year of any UNB science degree program must complete introductory courses in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Geology before graduation. An approved elective from the Faculty of Science or another faculty may be substituted for one of these courses in first year. In the second, third and fourth years, students pursue a specialized program of studies related to one of 23 options. In all of these options, except General Science, students may choose between major and honour programs. If a student chooses the honours program, the program of study includes a greater concentration in the chosen area of specialization, including a special research project. Choosing the major program means greater choice in Science and Arts courses and a somewhat less demanding course load. More detailed information can be found in the University Undergraduate Calendar or by contacting the Admissions Office. |
