Emergency Response

The UNBSJ emergency number is 648-5675. If you reach a recording press "0" and a Security Member will answer.

1. Contracted Security

Campus-wide security is provided by an outsourced Security Company. Security members are on duty 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. They are willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Safewalk is provided to all - just phone 648-5675 or Email Security & Safety

2. Campus Patrol

The Environmental Health, Safety & Security Department employs UNBSJ students as Campus Patrol to assist the regular contracted staff with their duties.

Campus Patrol are on duty for:

• Student socials and large events at which alcohol is consumed
• Monday to Thursday, Campus Patrol patrol both the buildings and the parking lots
• assist visitors to the campus attending functions
• to provide SAFEWALKS

Anyone wishing to become a member of the Campus Patrol are to contact the Campus Patrol Chief - phone 648-5911 or 648-5505.

3. Security Pay Phone Line

All payphones on campus are connected directly to the duty security member's cellular phone. No coin is required. Simply pick up the receiver and push the Security button.
