Parking Permits

1. General Information:

• Faculty and Staff may park in any parking space on campus.
• Students are permitted for safety reasons to park in designated Faculty/Staff parking areas after 4:30pm.
• Hang tags are not replaceable - if it is stolen or lost you must pay the full replacement cost.
• Parking Permits are not valid at a parking meter.

  • 2 Terms -> $140.00
  • 1 Term -> $96.00
  • 1 Term (Part Time Faculty / Staff) -> $66.00

• Student Parking Permit Fees
  • Full Year (12 Month) ->$133.00
  • 2 Terms -> $81.00
  • 1 Term -> $58.00
  • 1 Month -> $28.00
• Day pass available from Pay & Display Machines ->$4.00
  
• Meter Parking -> $1.25 / hour

There are 2 types of Parking Permits:

Decals - stick to the windshield and cannot be transferred from vehicle to vehicle. Decals are replaced by peeling them off the windshield and returning them to the Financial and Administrative Services -- Accounts Office - the replacement fee is $10.

Hang Tags - hang from the rear view mirror and are transferable from vehicle to vehicle owned within the same family living at the same address. Hang Tags are not replaceable and the full fee is (time remaining) on permit is charged if lost or stolen.

Lost or stolen tags must be reported to the Security Office. If another vehicle is found displaying the stolen permit, the owner of that vehice will be charged with theft.

If a permit holder forgets their tag or if they have their vehicle with decal in the shop for repairs etc., a FREE temporary day pass is available. This day pass is available from the Safety & Security Supervisor's Office located in the Athletics Centre Building Room 114.

Revenues collected from the sale of parking permits goes to support:

• the maintenance and repair of parking lots
• provide lighting
• provide snow clearing and ice control services
• provide traffic & parking signs

3. Vehicle Registration Form

The Vehicle Registration Form is to be completed and forwarded to the Financial and Administrative Services -- Accounts Office with your payment to receive a parking permit. Alternatively you may submit this information in My UNB e-Services (under Personal > Purchase NB Parking Permit), if you prefer to purchase your permit through payroll deduction.
